The Service Supervisor supports the daily operation of the store’s front end and helps ensure customers receive fast, friendly, and professional service. This role works closely with store leadership and the Service Operations Manager to coordinate front-end activities, support associates, maintain service standards, and resolve customer concerns.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service and promote a welcoming shopping experience.
- Assist with supervising and coordinating daily front-end operations.
- Monitor checkout lanes and service areas to ensure proper coverage and efficient customer flow.
- Direct and support cashiers, courtesy clerks, and other front-end associates throughout their shifts.
- Respond to customer questions, concerns, refunds, and service issues in a professional manner.
- Assist with opening, closing, and shift transition procedures as assigned.
- Help maintain accurate cash-handling practices and follow established company procedures.
- Support register accountability, till management, and other front-end financial controls.
- Ensure associates follow company policies, safety procedures, dress standards, and customer service expectations.
- Assist with training, coaching, and developing front-end associates.
- Communicate staffing or operational concerns to store leadership.
- Help coordinate breaks, lunches, and work assignments to maintain appropriate coverage.
- Maintain clean, organized, and customer-ready checkout and service areas.
- Support store programs, promotions, loyalty initiatives, and other company priorities.
- Assist other departments and store leadership as business needs require.
- Promote teamwork and help create a positive, respectful, and productive work environment.
- Lead by example with professionalism, urgency, and a customer-first attitude.
- Provide clear direction and timely feedback to associates.
- Recognize strong performance and help address opportunities for improvement.
- Remain calm and make sound decisions during busy or challenging situations.
- Build positive working relationships across departments.
- Support store leadership in maintaining operational standards and achieving store goals.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to organize priorities and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Comfortable providing direction and coaching to associates.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to handle customer concerns professionally.
- Dependable, flexible, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Willingness to work varying schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, reach, lift, and perform routine retail tasks throughout the shift.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interaction with customers and associates.
