- Analyzes and recaps comprehensive weekly pharmacy summary report of all operational metrics for pharmacy and company leadership teams
- Tracks, analyzes, and recaps current execution on operational initiatives and metrics for VPs and other appropriate parties
- Assembles period DPM scorecard detailing performance on all operational KPIs and SMART goals and communicates to DPMs, DPOs, and VPs
- Works with VPs, DPOs, and DPMs to develop and execute programs to build the business and/or drive KPI focused initiatives
- Facilitates the development and distribution of ad hoc reports and resources that are aimed to drive business growth and KPI initiatives
- Reviews all period financial and KPI reports and works with DPMs to develop initiatives and plans to address opportunity areas
- Ensures accurate reporting data is maintained and communicated timely to all pharmacy division and operating division stakeholders
- Assists DPMs in the quarterly budgeting process by preparing budgeting templates based on the guidance from Pharmacy Finance
- Assist DPMs in developing content for quarterly projection meetings
- Partnering with the Communications Specialist, serves as communication gateway between store support center and DPOs, DPMs, and pharmacy teams by managing timelines, priorities, and messaging details
- Serves as liaison between VPs, DPOs, DPMs, and store support center functional groups on all open issues, ongoing projects, and pharmacy level opportunities
- Acts as liaison for information that flows across divisions as well within the pharmacy division, develops strong working relationships across functions and divisions, collaborates to share best practices and provide support
- Ensures the quality of information, timeliness of information, best methods and resource management across divisions is clear, consistent and has received required approvals
- Provides direct operations support for pharmacy teams, DPMs, and DPOs via email, phone calls, and conference calls
- Triages and addresses non-operational questions and issues from pharmacy teams, DPMs, and DPOs to appropriate store support center functional groups and facilitates resolution
- Organizes and coordinates regular meetings/conference calls with central Pharmacy Operations team
- Provides VPs with regular updates regarding ongoing projects, current open issues, and future plans that will impact pharmacy teams
- Partners with VPs and DPOs to coordinate and plan DPM conference calls
- Coordinates and plans Pharmacy Operations All DPM Meetings including but not limited to logistics, meeting content, and inclusion of other store support center functional teams
- Reviews pharmacy operating standards and procedures and develops operational tools to facilitate and improve execution
- Identifies gaps/needs in existing standards and procedures and helps to revise existing processes, resources, and documents or develop new ones
- Assures proper implementation of internal compliance controls in pharmacy departments
- Assists in the planning and coordination of all standard and procedure implementations to the pharmacy teams
- Ensure cross division collaboration to seek out, evaluate and implement new solutions, and processes or shares best practices
- Oversees the consistent implementation of new ideas, programs, processes, and policies by building a collaborative team, working with the divisions and other functional teams
- Stays abreast of new developments, regulatory changes by state, industry trends and competitive activity relevant to the pharmacy operations
- Coordinates and monitors the Pharmacy Operations Focus process with the DPMs
- Develops and communicates monthly DPM store visit form to target specific areas of opportunity and/or current issues
- Assists in the determination of DPM operational focuses and development of associated SMART goals for the fiscal year to achieve business objectives
- Coordinates and evaluates requests for capital expenditures
- Represents Pharmacy Operations interests and provides operational insight during program and initiative development by other store support center functional teams
- Plans and coordinates sales and promotional programs for pharmacy departments and ensures consistent execution
- Ensures consistent pharmacy department maintenance procedures and appearance standards
- Communicates with appropriate stakeholders status and progress through presentations, quarterly projection meetings, period reviews, written and verbal reports
- Minimum of 5 years management experience, including supervision of multiple site locations, in this or related field is preferred, extensive knowledge of Pharmacy Operations is required.
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy required
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a District Pharmacy Manager or comparable experience within a chain drug company preferred
- Comprehensive operational knowledge of pharmacy system(s) is beneficial
- Experience with laws of multiple states and knowledge of state and national issues and trends affecting pharmacy are required.
- Functional experience with operations, merchandising, marketing, managed care and human resources is preferred, as is a comprehensive knowledge of pharmacy operations with a strong understanding of the financials.
- A proven history of successful implementation of major initiatives, changes, processes.
- A proven history of successful divisional relationship management at all levels.
- A proven track record of successful pharmacy functional area relationship at all levels
- A proven track record of pharmacy operational excellence.
- Experience with pharmacy file buys preferred.
- Ability to effectively establish and maintain working relationships with peers and constituents at all levels of the organization. Strong written, verbal and communication skills including project planning and execution.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment, skilled at multi-tasking, organized and the ability to engage others to problem solve.
- Ability to manage a schedule to support the business needs, through meetings, conference calls and travel.
- 15.Ability to direct influence on projects, guide the divisions, risk taking and become a subject matter expert through research and gaining an understanding of each functional business area.
