Salary: $28.37 per hour
2nd shift 2pm -1030pm or 3rd shift 10pm-6am
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on diesel tractors.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment problems.
- Repair any equipment problems and answer drivers’ telephone request for assistance with equipment failure while out on the road.
- Maintain and repair all equipment to include engine, starting and charging, electrical, body, wheels, brakes, suspension and interior.
- Have own tools
- Follow company procedures and ensure a safe work environment.
- Responsible for performing all job duties with honesty and integrity.
- Must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in heavy duty tractor/ trailer repair.
- State inspection certification a plus.
- Valid driver’s license - CDL Preferred.
- Certification in the use of refrigerants and recycling equipment a big plus
- Some mechanics must have the ability to drive a repair vehicle off the premises to perform emergency repairs on the road.
- Ability to work multiple shifts and on call as needed.
