Main Responsibilities
Licensing and Regulatory Compliance
- Prepare, process, and submit applications required to obtain and maintain pharmacy licenses, permits, and registrations.
- Coordinate and manage DEA registrations to ensure pharmacies are authorized to possess and dispense controlled substances.
- Submit required notices and regulatory filings to maintain compliance and avoid sanctions or disruptions to pharmacy operations.
- Support regulatory inspections, audits, and accreditation activities by ensuring appropriate licensure documentation is readily available.
- Develop, maintain, and oversee a centralized repository for pharmacy licenses, permits, and registrations.
- Establish and manage tracking systems for license renewals, certifications, and compliance deadlines.
- Monitor and implement CMEA certification and renewal reminder processes.
- Collaborate with pharmacy compliance team members and other business partners to support licensing and regulatory initiatives.
- Coordinate licensing requirements for new pharmacy openings, ensuring all licenses, permits, and compliance-related supplies are in place prior to opening.
- Prepare and coordinate Powers of Attorney and Principal Coordinator credentials required by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) for controlled substance ordering.
- Prepare and process check requests and obtain necessary approvals for licensing, permitting, registration fees, and related expenses.
- Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of federal and state pharmacy licensing requirements preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Self-motivated with a high level of initiative and result oriented.
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and implement solutions.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a deadline-driven environment.
- Demonstrates integrity, sound judgment, and strong business ethics.
- Proficient in 10-key data entry with a focus on speed and accuracy.
