About the Role
Albert Lea Seed House is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to support and grow seed sales for Viking®, Blue River®, and ALSH products. This role focuses on dealer and farmer relationships, account development, and representing our brands across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Sell seed through assigned and recruited dealer and farmer accounts
- Support and collaborate with the ALSH sales team and local farmer advocates
- Represent company brands at farm shows, trade events, and industry functions
- Manage sales activity, customer interactions, and opportunities using Salesforce
- Build seed orders and shipments through ALSH transaction systems
- Gather and communicate farmer feedback to improve products and programs
- Understand farmer needs throughout the growing season
- Train dealers through meetings and one‑on‑one ride‑alongs on seed products and best practices
- Ensure compliance with company policies and state and federal seed regulations
- Attend required staff meetings and training sessions
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of experience selling seed as a district, regional, or territory manager
- Strong background in farming, production agriculture, retail, or ag input sales
- Knowledge of agronomy, seed varieties, and agronomic data
- Comfortable with technology, CRM systems, and precision agriculture tools
- Strong communication, organization, and presentation skills
- Customer‑focused with a commitment to farmer satisfaction
- High ethical standards and professional judgment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to bend, twist, and reach in office and warehouse environments
