What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2026 Summer Programs - SPELL Elementary/Middle School: Paraprofessionals, Grades 1-8 position at ALBERT F ARGENZIANO SCHOOL?
Program Goal: Summer Partners for Language and Learning (SPELL) provides Multilingual Learners theme-based language development experiences in the morning and enrichment activities provided by community partners in the afternoon.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Multilingual Learner classrooms
- Ability to collaborate with teachers in the delivery of theme-based, language and content integrated curriculum aligned to WIDA framework
- Ability to support student learning in small groups and one on one.
- Ability to maintain a safe and healthy environment for students.
- Bilingual/multilingual and ability to communicate with diverse students and families.
Terms of Employment:
- Seasonal/Yearly Appointment
- Summer School Program Schedule: July 6, 2026 - July 31, 2026
- Rate: $25.00 per/hour
- Monday through Friday, 8 am - 1 pm
- SPELL program professional development for all SPELL staff will take place in the last week on June or first week of July.
Reports to: MLE Director, Director for SPELL Elementary Program, & Assistant Director for SPELL Elementary Program
