Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Maintain public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and dining spaces by sweeping, mopping, polishing floors, and restocking supplies.
- Handle laundry duties efficiently by washing, folding, and organizing linens and towels to meet quality standards.
- Use specialized cleaning equipment for floor care tasks such as buffing, waxing, and deep cleaning carpets to preserve the facility’s appearance.
- Follow safety protocols during cleaning procedures and handle cleaning chemicals responsibly to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
- Report maintenance issues or damages promptly to ensure swift resolution and uphold the property’s quality standards.
- Assist with inventory management by tracking cleaning supplies and requesting replenishments as needed.
- Support other housekeeping staff during busy periods or special events to maintain operational efficiency.
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services within hospitality or industrial settings.
- Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including sweeping, mopping, waxing, and carpet cleaning.
- Previous hotel or hospitality experience preferred; familiarity with guest service standards is a plus.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively while adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to identifying areas needing special care or repair.
