Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to ensure a hygienic environment.
• Maintain public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and dining spaces by sweeping, mopping, polishing floors, and restocking supplies.
• Handle laundry duties efficiently by washing, folding, and organizing linens and towels to meet quality standards.
• Use specialized cleaning equipment for floor care tasks such as buffing, waxing, and deep cleaning carpets to preserve the facility’s appearance.
• Follow safety protocols during cleaning procedures and handle cleaning chemicals responsibly to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
• Report maintenance issues or damages promptly to ensure swift resolution and uphold the property’s quality standards.
• Assist with inventory management by tracking cleaning supplies and requesting replenishments as needed.
• Support other housekeeping staff during busy periods or special events to maintain operational efficiency.

Skills

• Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services within hospitality or industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including sweeping, mopping, waxing, and carpet cleaning.
• Previous hotel or hospitality experience preferred; familiarity with guest service standards is a plus.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively while adhering to health and safety guidelines.
• Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to identifying areas needing special care or repair.
• Good organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting issues clearly.
• Experience in housekeeping management or supervising staff is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
