The Detailing Coordinator I supports the Engineering and Detailing Department in preparing drawings for specific projects.
Essential Responsibilities & Duties include the following; however, other duties may be assigned. Associate or bachelor’s degree in computer drafting or equivalent plus 2 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in Tekla, AutoCAD, or equivalent software programs is preferred.

The Detailing Coordinator I supports the Engineering and Detailing Department in preparing drawings for specific projects.

- Preparation of detail drawings that comply with job specifications, design criteria, Hillsdale standards and applicable Code requirements.
- Preparation of erection drawings and/or marking plans required for the project.
- Preparation of material list requisitions.
- Coordinates with third party detailing and engineering firms.
- Coordinates with other trades as it relates to Hillsdale scope.
- Reads and follows set schedules.
- Participates in Project meetings, including, but not limited to kick-off meetings, closeout meetings and shop prep meetings.
- Travels to Company and subsidiary offices; offsite client, subcontractor, and supplier meetings; and other locations across North America to fulfill the essential duties of the role as required.
- Exhibits regular and reliable attendance in person as required by the Supervisor, Company guidelines, and/or project and office obligations.
