Temporary Summer Maintenance/Grounds Workers
Building Services
Summer 2026
Essential Job Functions Include:
- Operating trucks, tractors, mowers, weed eaters, towing equipment trailers, and other related equipment.
- Using standard tools and equipment of the trades in a safe manner.
- Cleaning and caring for tools and equipment.
- Performing general labor duties such as cutting grass, weed eating, etc.
- Performing other tasks as required.
Competency: Knowledge/skills
- General knowledge of the safe use, operation, and preventative maintenance of common grounds equipment.
- Knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
- A knowledge of hazards and precautions involved in using ground equipment.
Physical Conditions
- Must have the ability to perform manual labor/ strenuous physical tasks and use equipment for extended periods in various weather conditions, including inclement weather.
- Must be able to lift and carry items weighing 25-100 pounds.
- Requires bending or stooping; Operation of complex gasoline, diesel or electric-powered machinery and equipment.
Salary:$16 to $17 Per Hour
