What are the responsibilities and job description for the Entry Writer position at Albatrans International Freight Forwarders?
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for day-to-day operations relating to the handling and customs clearance of international shipments
- Classification of shipments and preparation of entry documentation specifically related to Wine & Spirits importation
- Knowledge of FDA filing and other PGA’s and familiar with CBP regulations
- Work closely and in conjunction with the Brokerage/ Branch / Compliance Manager to ensure efficiency in all processes within the company and department.
- Communicate with US Customs officials and other government agencies as deemed necessary
- Schedule pickups and deliveries on the brokerage only files
- Respond to internal and external (customer) requests
- Enter shipment and billing data into operational systems
- Assist with payment requests and customer billing as needed
- Demonstrated stress tolerance and flexibility to changing priorities
- Prepare and post PSC
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
- Preferred - active Customs Brokerage License
- 3 years Customs Brokerage import experience with an extensive and broad range of commodities. Familiarity with ADD/ CVD, FDA, EPA, F & W, CBMA, FAA, TTB
- Employee must have basic user knowledge of computer programs such as Excel, Word and Outlook
- Experience with Editrade is a plus
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong mathematical skills, such as appropriately add and compute fees, percentages, taxes, currency conversions, weight, cube, measures, U.S. Customs and other agency fees.

- In Office Position- non remote.
Salary : $60,000 - $62,000
