Duties:
- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment using appropriate techniques and equipment
- Inspect instruments for damage or defects and report any issues to the supervisor
- Assemble instrument trays and surgical sets according to established protocols
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes, including load contents, cycle times, and test results
- Follow proper aseptic techniques to prevent contamination during the handling and storage of sterile items
- Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure that all necessary instruments are available for procedures
- Monitor inventory levels of sterile supplies and notify the supervisor when reordering is necessary
- Adhere to infection control policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment
