Who are we?
The Myelin Lab is a NIH funded lab located in Albany, NY and led by Drs. Sophie Belin and Yannick Poitelon. We are studying the formation of myelin in health and in disease, and how myelin is affected in genetic, traumatic and acquired disorders. In addition, we have a strong expertise in peripheral neuropathies. If you have interest in cellular and molecular biology of glial cells, want to develop therapeutic strategies for myelin disorders or peripheral neuropathies, you will find a home here.
