What are the responsibilities and job description for the Comptroller position at Albany Diocese-Cemeteries?
Responsible for accounting cycle activity, check writing, cash receipts, investment activity, journal entry preparation, monthly accounting closings, and routine activity of the financial accounting function.
Responsible for all accounts receivable, accounts payable, financial statements, cash forecasts, and file maintenance for applicable entities.
Responsible for updates and running reports in cemetery-based software.
Collaborates with Executive Director to develop annual budget and ensures staff adheres to the budget put in place.
Maintains accurate fixed assets accounts including asset listings, accounting records, and calculating and recording depreciation and amortization using appropriate methods.
Prepares a monthly financial reporting package to be used by leadership team.
Records applicable year end accruals and prepaid expenses consistent with sound management principles and generally sound accounting practices.
Extends hospitality to all and expresses a positive attitude in spoken and written communication.
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
