What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elementary School Teacher Aide position at Albany Christian School?
Albany Christian School is looking for Elementary School Teacher Aides for the 2026-2027 school year. ACS Teacher Aides provide an extremely valuable service to our classroom teachers and students. By nature, Aides are Christians who have been blessed by God with the spiritual gift of SERVICE. A person in this role will love to serve and find fulfillment in helping others succeed.
Essential Responsibilities:
Teacher Aides work alongside teachers to assist with managing the school day in the following areas: supervision, grading, classroom management, recess and lunch supervision, photocopying papers, behavior discipline, and other help as needed. However, individual teachers may assign additional duties according to the needs of the classroom.
Assisting the Classroom Teacher:
· Assist the ACS Classroom Teacher with preparation of daily classroom activities
· Assist the ACS Classroom Teacher with setting up the schedules/calendars/lists etc.
· Assist the ACS Classroom Teacher by performing basic academic assessments/grading
· Assist the ACS Classroom Teacher with supervising daily instructional activities
· Assist the ACS Classroom Teacher in the implementation of classroom management strategies
· Assist the ACS Classroom Teacher with data input in FACTS
· Assist the ACS Classroom Teacher with keeping the room tidy – end of day by taking out trash, white-board cleaning, sweeping/ vacuuming.
