HOUSEKEEPING DIRECTOR, Full Time - Albany Care, Evanston, IL
Albany Care, a Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Facility (SMHRF) in Evanston, IL, has an immediate opening for a Full-Time Housekeeping Director. Salary of $50k, plus Benefits, with an 8-hour shift.
Every Other Weekend Hours are Required

Responsibilities of the Housekeeping Director:
- Organize employee shifts and training
- Educate staff on cleanliness, tidiness and hygiene standards
- Monitor rooms, private and public areas for cleanliness
- Ensure daily housekeeping operations run smoothly
- Oversee staff performance
- Schedule shifts and arrange for replacements in cases of absence
- Motivate team members and resolve any issues that occur
- Respond to resident complaints and special requests
- Monitor and replenish cleaning products
- Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies and regulations

Requirements:Requirements of the Housekeeping Director:
- High school diploma
- Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
- Experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or similar role
- Hands-on experience with cleaning and maintenance tasks for large organizations
- Experience in a long term care facility preferred
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning equipment and products
- Excellent organizational and team management skills
- Able to handle the physical demands of the job
- Compassion, tolerance and understanding of adults with mental disorders
- Must be able to pass a background check
