Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals in accordance with established guidelines and menus.
- Ensure that all food items are stored, prepared, and served in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness in food preparation and serving areas, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment.
- Set up and break down food service stations for meal service.
- Monitor food inventory and assist with restocking supplies as needed.
- Provide friendly and efficient service to students and staff during meal times.
- Assist with special events and catering as required.
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Cook and Director of Operations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in food service or a related field is a plus.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items as needed.
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including mornings, afternoons, and occasional weekends.
- Must pass a background check as required by district policies.
Hours: 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM.
