Custodian

Position Title: Custodial Services Reports To: Director of Operations Primary Purpose: The custodial position will support campus cleaning, repair projects, grounds upkeep, and general preparation for day to day operations.  Qualifications: Must be a current high school student or recent graduate Minimum age requirement as determined by district policy and state law Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team Dependable attendance and punctuality Ability to perform physical labor in indoor and outdoor environments Positive attitude and willingness to learn Essential Duties and Responsibilities Custodial: Assist with cleaning classrooms, hallways, restrooms, cafeterias, gyms, and offices Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize assigned areas Help move furniture, equipment, and supplies Assist with floor care, including stripping, waxing, and buffing floors under supervision Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly Clean windows, doors, and other surfaces as assigned Assist with outdoor cleanup and general grounds maintenance as needed Follow all district safety procedures and use cleaning equipment properly Maintain professionalism and appropriate behavior while representing the school district Perform other duties assigned by supervisors General Responsibilities: Follow all district safety procedures and properly use cleaning tools and equipment Maintain professionalism and appropriate behavior while representing the school district Demonstrate teamwork, responsibility, and respect for others Follow district policies, procedures, and safety guidelines at all times Perform other duties assigned by supervisors Working Conditions Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying Ability to lift and move moderate to heavy objects with assistance when necessary Exposure to cleaning chemicals, heat, and outdoor weather conditions Work may involve evenings or adjusted summer schedules Expectations Demonstrate teamwork, responsibility, and respect for others Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a school environment Follow district policies, procedures, and safety guidelines at all times
