Responsibilities
- Safely operate a cargo van to deliver packages across designated routes (could be 1hr away from the warehouse) on weekends while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload items using proper lifting techniques, including moving heavy packages with equipment such as pallet jacks when necessary
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting recipients professionally and ensuring package accuracy upon delivery
- Plan efficient routes to maximize productivity and meet delivery deadlines
- Verify delivery details, obtain signatures when required, and document all deliveries accurately in the system by taking proper photos
- Maintain the cleanliness and basic maintenance of your vehicle to ensure safe operation at all times
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding route issues, delays, or safety concerns
Experience
- Prior delivery driver experience or courier work preferred; familiarity with route driving is a plus
- Experience in warehouse settings or handling heavy lifting tasks is advantageous
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude
- Comfortable performing physical tasks including loading/unloading heavy items and moving packages efficiently
