Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for, collecting patient samples, conducting laboratory tests, analyzing results, and maintaining accurate records. This position requires proficiency in various laboratory techniques and adherence to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
Duties:
- Instruct patients to collect clean catch urine samples
- Process patient samples for in-house out testing
- Perform laboratory tests and procedures following standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Prepare and analyze samples using laboratory equipment
- Maintain laboratory equipment and troubleshoot issues as needed
- Document all test results accurately in the laboratory information management system
- Ensure compliance with laboratory procedures and safety guidelines
Skills:
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques and procedures
- Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP)
- Experience working in a clinical or industrial laboratory setting
- Familiarity with urine microscopy procedures
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording data
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, while being flexible and adaptable to change as needed
- Phlebotomy skills preferred
