Alaska Travel Adventures is seeking a highly motivated and creative Marketing Manager to lead our marketing efforts and drive business growth. Located in beautiful Juneau, Alaska, this is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving adventure tour company and promote our incredible experiences to a global audience. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of digital marketing strategies, with a proven track record of success in social media marketing, online advertising, and content creation. Experience in the tour and travel industry is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and Execute Marketing Strategies: Create and implement comprehensive marketing plans to achieve company goals, including increased brand awareness, lead generation, and sales growth.
- Social Media Management: Oversee all social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.), creating engaging content, managing communities, and analyzing performance metrics.
- Online Advertising: Plan, execute, and optimize online advertising campaigns (Google Ads, social media ads, etc.) to target potential customers and drive traffic to our website.
- Content Creation: Develop high-quality and compelling content (blog posts, articles, videos, photos, infographics) to attract and engage our target audience.
- Email Marketing: Manage email marketing campaigns, including list segmentation, content creation, and performance tracking.
- Website Management: Oversee website content updates, SEO optimization, and user experience improvements.
- Market Research: Conduct market research to identify trends, analyze competitor activities, and understand customer needs.
- Budget Management: Work with our executive team to develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Performance Analysis: Track and analyze marketing campaign performance, providing regular reports and recommendations for improvement.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (Sales, Operations, Customer Service) to ensure alignment and support business objectives.
- Partnership Development: Identify and cultivate relationships with key partners (travel agencies, hotels, tourism boards) to expand our reach and generate leads.
- Brand Management: Ensure consistent brand messaging and visual identity across all marketing channels.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in marketing, with a focus on digital marketing and social media. Experience must be recent (within the past 5 years)
- Proven track record of success in developing and executing marketing strategies that drive business growth.
- Expertise in social media marketing, including content creation, community management, and advertising.
- Strong understanding of online advertising platforms (Google Ads, Facebook Ads, etc.).
- Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in marketing automation tools, CRM systems, and website analytics platforms.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for adventure travel and the outdoors.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the tour and travel industry.
- Familiarity with the Alaska, tourism market.
- Experience with FareHarbor and other industry tools
- Experience with SEO best practices.
