What are the responsibilities and job description for the Showroom Associate position at Alaska Textiles Inc.?
We need someone to size customers for flame-resistant and safety apparel, run the front desk, and keep will-call pickups accurate. The job is counter work with a fitting standard, not a straight cashier role.
The work:
- Measure and fit customers for FR shirts, pants, coveralls, outerwear, base layers, and safety footwear, including women’s sizes.
- Greet walk-ins, answer the phone, and handle counter questions.
- Pull and check will-call orders so the right sizes leave the building.
- Explain basic product differences and hand technical or account questions to sales.
- Keep the floor and will-call area organized, and help with tagging, light stocking, and box handling.
What you bring:
- Reliable customer-service experience: retail, apparel, a parts counter, or a front desk.
- Comfort measuring people and talking with tradespeople and office buyers.
- Attention to detail. A wrong size or a missed pickup is a failed order.
- Ability to stand for a shift and lift boxes of garments.
- Workwear or industrial familiarity is a plus. Product training is provided.
