What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grounds Crew position at Alaska State Fair, Inc?

Purpose: The grounds crew helps the Grounds department maintain the Fair’s buildings and grounds in top condition in order to provide the public with an exemplary facility.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum age 18.
- Valid Alaska Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
- Must be willing and able to work in all weather conditions.
- Must be physically able to routinely lift and carry 75-100 pounds.
Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:
- Painting.
- Carpentry.
- Remodeling.
- Lawn mowing, weed whipping, and fence line maintenance.
- Maintenance on small equipment.
- Building repairs.
- Preparation and cleaning of exhibit buildings and other structures for events.
- Check out and return tools.
- Act as runner for minor supplies and parts.
- Collect trash and maintain clean grounds during the Fair.
- Welding.
- Plumbing maintenance.
- Electrical maintenance.
- Operate and maintain equipment.
- Complete daily project logs.
- Adhere to OSHA requirements.
