Role Description
This is a full-time, traveling Field Technician role, primarily based in Anchorage, AK. The position is focused on Facility Condition Assessments. The Field Technician will be responsible for conducting site inspections, collecting and analyzing data, documenting facility conditions, and generating comprehensive reports. The role involves conducting 3D scanning/imaging operations, creating interactive deliverables, and collaborating with teams to provide accurate, actionable insights based on assessment findings.
Training and 3rd-party certification for Condition Assessments and FAA Part 107 are provided by ARI.
Qualifications

- Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel, working about half-time in the field and half-time in the office
- Alaska-proof attitude
- Knowledge of building systems and/or construction trade experience is a plus
- Proven ability in technical report writing and data documentation
- Ability to effectively collaborate with teams and clients in a professional setting
- Physical capability to perform on-site inspections, including walking and standing for extended periods, crawling when necessary, transporting gear, etc
- Ability to carry two 50 lb Pelican cases at the same time as wearing a 30lb packpack for a distance of 1 mile
- Ability to be in remote settings without immediate access to healthcare facilities, vehicles, law enforcement, etc.
- Ability to be a passenger on all forms of aircraft, as well as boats, snowmachines, etc
- Ability to operate a 4-wheeler or snowmachine on rural roads
- Familiarity with scanning, drone, residential or commercial inspections, and surveying workflows and tools is a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
