APFC External Partner Internship Program


We’re excited to announce an incredible internship opportunity with one of APFC’s valued external partners! To be considered for APFC’s external internship programs, applicants need to meet the following criteria:


  • Be currently enrolled at an Alaska university or be an Alaska resident attending school in any state.
  • Be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree or have graduated within the past six months.
  • Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, business economics, or related fields – minimum GPA of 3.0

Senior Investment Intern -Pathway Capital Management, LP  

Location of Internship: Irvine, California or Providence, Rhode Island

Pathway Capital Management, LP, is a leading institutional investment management firm that creates and manages specialized private markets solutions for institutional investors worldwide. We are currently seeking Senior Investment Interns.  


Senior Investment Interns are responsible for analyzing potential investment opportunities—including funds, secondaries, direct equities, and direct credits across private equity, private credit, and infrastructure—and assisting the investment team with market research and monitoring client portfolios. They work closely with senior and mid-level professionals on small teams. 


The responsibilities of a Senior Investment Intern include:


  • Performing quantitative and qualitative reviews of potential private markets fund investments 
  • Supporting in-depth, rapidly moving underwriting of potential direct equity, direct credit, and secondary investments 
  • Conducting analysis to support the due diligence process, including analyzing financial statements of private markets partnerships, reviewing partnership portfolio company valuations, and assessing relative performance 
  • Participating in meetings with fund managers 
  • Analyzing client portfolio performance and diversification 
  • Assisting with special reporting, research, and due diligence projects on an ad hoc basis 
  • Working both in teams and individually to compile topical research reports and present findings to Pathway’s senior team 


The requirements for this intern position include: 

  • Junior / Senior status at an accredited College or University 
  • A record of high academic achievement in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, business economics, or related fields – minimum GPA of 3.0 
  • A strong interest in investments and capital markets 
  • Experience working in Microsoft Excel 
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills 
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills 
  • Ability and desire to work in a collaborative environment 
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and resourceful

Duration of internship:

10 weeks (dates vary to align with college schedule)


Travel and Housing

Interns are required to make their own travel, transportation, and housing arrangements.
