Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium has a hiring preference for qualified Alaska Native and American Indian applicants pursuant to P.L. 93-638 Indian Self Determination Act.

This position is local to Anchorage, AK with on-site work schedule.

Summary

Under general supervision, the Development Operations Coordinator will help to manage the day-to-day operations of the Healthy Alaska Natives Foundation (HANF). This position supports fundraising, donor relations, grantmaking, and general office operations through coordination of administrative processes, recordkeeping, data entry, reporting, and customer service activities. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate records, supporting donor and grant administration processes, assisting with event logistics, and coordinating routine operational tasks. The ideal candidate is organized, detail oriented, customer service focused, and comfortable working with databases and administrative systems.

Responsibilities

Process gifts and donor information in fundraising databases, ensuring accurate records, timely acknowledgments, and proper documentation.

Maintain donor, grantmaking, and event records, including data entry, filing, and report preparation.

Manage the event platform and credit card processor ensuring accurate transactions and data integrity.

Collaborate with the finance department to reconcile transactions and ensure accurate record-keeping.

Oversee completion of payment processing tasks such as check requests, requisitions, contracting. Maintain appropriate records and prepare reports as required.

Ensure compliance with organizational policies, financial standards, and legal requirements.

Prepare donor reports and mailing lists for appeals, newsletters, and campaigns.

Support the grantmaking process by assisting with application intake, tracking, award processing, and reporting.

Support fundraising efforts by assisting with event planning, logistics, and follow-up.

Provide general administrative support. Assist with Board meeting logistics and materials. Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems.

Provide clear, consistent communication with internal teams, grantees, donors, and community partners. Deliver high-quality customer service and maintain professional relationships.

Craft compelling messages and utilizing various communication channels.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Other Information

KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS

  • Knowledge of Alaska Tribal Health System, Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium, and Alaska Native culture(s) and politics.
  • Knowledge of fundraising, nonprofit, or grantmaking operations preferred.
  • Skill in customer service principles and practice.
  • Skill in oral and written communication.
  • Skill in maintaining accurate records and attention to detail.
  • Skill in organizing work, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines.
  • Skill in operating a personal computer utilizing a variety of software applications, including databases and Microsoft Office products.

MINIMUM EDUCATION QUALIFICATION

A Bachelor’s degree in business, nonprofit management, communications or office administration. Progressively responsible professional work-related experience, education or training may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for college education.

Minimum Experience Qualification

Non-supervisory – Two (2) years of professional work experience in the field of development or related field required.

MINIMUM CERTIFICATION QUALIFICATION

Must have a clean driving record with a valid driver’s license.

Preferred Experience Qualification

Experience with database entry or records management.
