Welder / Fabricator – Modular Container Systems
Alaska Modular Systems is hiring a Welder/Fabricator to assist with building and modifying container-based structures, including offices, housing units, restrooms, and custom industrial solutions.
Responsibilities: Weld and fabricate carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding as needed Cut, grind, fit, and assemble metal structures Modify containers including doors, windows, framing, and structural components Operate fabrication equipment, including welders, saws, grinders, and shop tools Read measurements, drawings, and basic build plans Assist with installation of structural components, panels, doors, and finishes Maintain quality workmanship and a safe, organized workspace
Qualifications: Experience with MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding Metal fabrication and fit-up experience preferred Ability to accurately measure, cut, and assemble materials Comfortable with hand tools and fabrication equipment General construction experience is a plus Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
Pay based on experience.
