JOB TITLE: Senior Accountant
DEPARTMENT: Finance Department
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Responsible for overseeing accounting operations, including payroll, reconciliations, and pension fund management, while ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and maintaining financial accuracy. Additionally, this role supports financial analysis and reporting, providing insights and recommendations to senior management. The position ensures the effective handling of complex accounting tasks and financial performance analysis to aid in strategic decision-making.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to Chief Financial Officer
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

Perform monthly and year-end close activities, including preparation of adjusting entries and complex reconciliations.

Participate in external audits, prepare work papers, and work with auditors to ensure thorough reviews.

Maintain and update accounting systems and processes in accordance with state regulations and organizational needs.

Analyze and report financial performance, providing comparative analyses and forecasts.

Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and providing financial insights to support decision-making.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5 years of experience in accounting and data analysis.
- Minimum: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or similar certification preferred but not required.
Experience:
- Preferred: Five years of professional work in software development, computer programming, data architecture, or related area.
- Minimum: Two years’ experience in a healthcare environment.
