Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Department: Anchorage APP Group
Summary of duties: An exempt position responsible for providing cardiovascular care services, including assessing and managing patients in the outpatient and inpatient setting following established standards and practices. Works closely with physicians and other clinicians in a team approach to patient care, providing assistance based on the needs of the organization.
Position conditions:
- AHA ACLS and BLS certification required
- Willingness to work in multiple clinic locations and hospitals
- Willingness to work a variable schedule as required
Please note: Our local hospitals, Providence Alaska Medical Center and Alaska Regional Hospital, require healthcare providers to be fully credentialed prior to their first working day. Credentialing and approval of the Standardized Procedures takes between 3-4 months, but can vary.
Compensation: Commensurate with experience
Please note: An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at AHVI in a similar role.

Qualifications:
Education: Preferred: Master’s degree in designated area preferred. Minimum: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or accredited school for physician assistant programs. Completion of an accredited Nursing Practitioner/Physician Assistant program.
Required Qualifications
Experience:
- 1-3 years of prior experience as NP or PA preferred
- Willing to consider new graduates as well
Nurse Practitioner:
- Current and active RN and NP license for the state of Alaska, preferred
- Eligible for NP license or NP license in progress for the state of Alaska
- State of Alaska NP Prescriptive Privileges
- Active DEA certificate (upon hire)
Physician Assistant:
- Current and active PA license for state of Alaska, preferred
- Eligible for PA license or PA license in progress for the state of Alaska
- Alaska Dispensing Authority
- Active DEA certificate (upon hire)
Salary : $3,000 - $5,000
