MARKETING AND CONTENT SPECIALIST -

JOB PURPOSE
The Marketing and Content Creation Specialist will elevate our marketing efforts across retail, wholesale, and manufacturing operations. This role is essential in driving brand awareness, customer engagement, and sales through high-quality, visually appealing content. The ideal candidate will be skilled in website and social media management, content creation, and SEO best practices, and will work closely with our product development team to design product packaging that reflects our commitment to quality.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Social Media Management:
- Develop and execute a social media strategy that aligns with our brand and engages our audience.
- Create, schedule, and monitor posts across platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
- Engage with followers, respond to inquiries, and analyze social media metrics to refine strategies.
- Event Planning:
- Plan and coordinate in-store and community events that promote our brand, products, and seasonal offerings.
- Develop event marketing materials, communicate with vendors, and manage event logistics.
- Evaluate the success of events and gather feedback for future improvements.
- Email Marketing:
- Design and manage email marketing campaigns to communicate promotions, new products, and events to customers.
- Build targeted email lists and create visually appealing email templates that drive engagement.
- Track and analyze email performance metrics to improve future campaigns.
- Website Management (Preferred):
- Assist in updating website content to ensure an accurate and current online presence.
- Collaborate with team members to improve website design and functionality to enhance the user experience.
- Use SEO and analytics tools to monitor website performance and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2 years of experience in marketing, with a focus on social media management, event planning, and email marketing.
- Proficiency in social media platforms (Facebook and Instagram) and social media management tools.
- Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., MailChimp, Constant Contact) and familiarity with segmentation and analytics.
- Basic knowledge of website content management systems (CMS) and SEO principles (preferred).
- Graphic design skills and experience with Adobe Creative Suite or Canva are a plus.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with an ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a creative approach to content creation.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret marketing data and make data-driven decisions.
Team-oriented with a collaborative spirit, but also able to work independently
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Requires sitting or standing for long periods and ability to bend or stoop as needed.
- Requires typing and working at a computer for long periods throughout the day.
- Requires ability to use arms and shoulders to lift, reach overhead, mid-level and low-level.
- Requires ability to walk varied distances on hard surfaces, climb stairs, and lift and/or move items that weigh up to 50 lbs.
WORKING RELATIONSHIP
Works closely with Sales Team, Purchasing Team, and Executive Team. Frequently consults with management regarding vendors, pricing, and product information. The successful applicant must have a positive and professional attitude, the ability to work in a team environment and under pressure.
SALARY
$24-$31 PER HOUR DOE
The compensation offered to the selected applicant may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related reasons. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on meeting or exceeding company goals.
