Reports to: Meat Plant Manager

Rate of pay: $18.00/hr.

Schedule: 4X10s Monday through Thursday (eligible for OT)

Your Role:

• Maintain warehouse operations according to established company standards
• Perform daily U.S.D.A sanitation requirements to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness
• Maximize customer satisfaction through effective communication, merchandising, and adherence to operating procedures
• Perform accurate receiving by properly down-stacking goods and cross-checking against invoices
• Check for any shipping damage and ensure appropriate documentation
• Ensure proper storage, handling, and rotation of food products.
• Implement the "oldest is being used first" rule by performing proper item rotation and dating
• Salvage and utilize any usable portion of damaged merchandise
• Maintain compliance with OSHA standards
  
  

Desired Skills & Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months of related experience and/or training; Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1-3 years of warehousing experience preferred
• Proficiency in wrapping, weighing, labeling, and pricing cuts of meat preferred but not required
• Experience in food handling is preferred but not required
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, clients, and fellow employees
• Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to providing exceptional service
• Basic mathematical skills, including the ability to perform calculations and interpret graphs
• Forklift and electric pallet jack operation experience preferred
