Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive table service, including taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their visit
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order entry and cash transactions
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and process refunds with precision while maintaining accountability for all transactions
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety regulations
- Assist in food preparation or plating when needed, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods
- Manage reservations using platforms like OpenTable and coordinate guest seating efficiently to optimize flow during peak hours
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, including fine dining or nightclub settings
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety standards
- Ability to multitask effectively while managing time in a fast-paced setting
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
- Experience with food industry tools like OpenTable for reservations management is a plus
- Culinary or kitchen experience is advantageous but not required; a willingness to learn is essential
