What are the responsibilities and job description for the Working Lead Mechanic / Maintenance Supervisor position at Alaska Amphibious Tours?
We are in the process of a rebuild or restoration of another Amphibious Vehicle.
The restoration project will also fall under this job.
Marine experience isa plus.
The Shop Manager/ Mechanic will be in charge of all preventive maintenance(PM) and service repairs. Maintain PM software, create work orders, schedule and perform PM, and maintain DOT logs. Expedite and maintain inventory via PM software, stock all parts, and shop supplies. Ensure shop cleanliness and provide a safe work environment at all times. Supervise shop staff. Maintain a log of hours and duties performed.

On-call during operations; hands-on hours; average 60 hours per week; call out hours as needed for repairs; facilitate all repairs/service requirements; assist Operations/General Manager with on-site issues and coordination with service issues; supervise shop staff.
Summary of essential job functions: October-March
45-50 hour workweek; flexible shifts. Annual service and PM on all vehicles. Supervise shop staff; prepare vehicles for USCG COI’s and DOT inspections; ensures all operations are conducted in accordance with the company’s safety standards; general building maintenance
Minimum requirements:
Class B CDL Minimum a plus
Medium duty truck repair experience 3 years
Management experience 3 years
Computer skills (MS Excel, Word, and PM Software)
Maintain a professional appearance at all times and follows the company policies
Ability to work unsupervised in a multi-task environment
