Summary
The Project Engineer Intern Position is responsible for assisting the Project Manager with planning and assessing construction project activities in compliance with project specifications along with preparing and submitting daily reports, schedules, RFI’s, submittals, quantity take offs, and other reporting.

The Project Engineer Intern Position is responsible for assisting the Project Manager with planning and assessing construction project activities in compliance with project specifications along with preparing and submitting daily reports, schedules, RFI’s, submittals, quantity take offs, and other reporting.
Essential Functions
- Read and review project drawings and specifications
- Assist PM with work plans
- Estimate quantities and cost of materials
- Document project activities and data, as required
- Compile Daily/Weekly reports for AAP use, and as needed from the Client.
- Follow Directions
- Ask questions
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function and preferably able to perform other tasks satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
Minimum
Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Currently enrolled in college for engineering degree or construction management
- Drivers License
- One or two year's construction-related field experience
- Experience with Primavera P6 scheduling software
- Experience with AutoCAD or similar software
- Microsoft office (excel, word)
- Proficient writing skills
- Adobe acrobat
- Hard working and eager to listen and learn
