Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations of the sprinkler division, coordinating project schedules, resource allocation, and team assignments to meet project deadlines efficiently.
- Oversee fire sprinkler system installation, ensuring adherence to blueprints, schematics, and building code requirements.
- Conduct construction inspections to verify system integrity, compliance with NFPA standards, and proper fire alarm system integration.
- Review engineering drawings, electrical blueprints, and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files to facilitate accurate system design and troubleshooting.
- Perform field service tasks including system testing, fire alarm system maintenance, sensor calibration, and troubleshooting proprietary fire alarm control panels.
- Ensure all work complies with fire codes, NFPA standards, NEC (National Electrical Code), and low voltage electrical work regulations.
- Lead training sessions on fire sprinkler fitting, fire alarm systems operation, and electrical work for team members to promote skill development and safety awareness.
Qualifications
- Proven experience reading blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings related to sprinkler systems and fire alarm systems.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools in construction or maintenance environments.
- Strong understanding of building code compliance, NFPA standards for fire protection systems, and fire codes and regulations.
- Demonstrated ability in engineering troubleshooting of complex fire alarm systems and sensors within low voltage electrical environments.
- Experience in construction inspection, field service operations, or supervising installation teams is highly preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients and team members alike.
- Knowledge of proprietary fire alarm control panels and alarm system sales experience is a plus.
