Alarm Brokers of Florida is a leading installer of security products across South Florida. We specialize in residential and commercial security systems and we’re growing fast. We’re looking for reliable, experienced Low Voltage and Security Technicians to join our team and help us keep homes and businesses safe.
What You'll Be Doing:
You'll be out in the field—driving a company van to customer locations to install and service:
- Burglar and fire alarm systems (DSC, Qolsys, Bosch, DMP)
- Security cameras and DVR/NVR systems
- Video doorbells (like Ring, Nest, etc.)
- Access control systems and mag locks (Openpath, Brivo, Butterfly MX)
- Smart home and low-voltage wiring (Cat5, Cat6, Coax, etc.)
This job involves hands-on installation, programming, troubleshooting, and working directly with customers in both residential and commercial settings.
Day-to-Day Includes:
- Installing, wiring, and programming alarms and camera systems
- Running low-voltage cable neatly and safely
- Diagnosing and fixing system issues on service calls
- Explaining system features and usage to customers
- Climbing ladders (up to 20 ft), crawling in attics or confined spaces
- Working indoors and outdoors—even on construction sites
- Driving responsibly in a company vehicle to and from job sites
- Occasionally working weekends, early mornings, or evenings (with notice)
What We're Looking For:
- Experience with alarm systems (especially DSC, Qolsys, Bosch, DMP)
- Hands-on experience installing and configuring surveillance cameras
- Background in low voltage cabling (Cat5/6, coaxial, etc.)
- Comfortable working on ladders, in attics, or tight spaces
- Great customer service skills—especially in home installations
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Able to pass a background check and drug screening
- MUST BE bilingual – English and Spanish
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with smart home devices and home automation
- Access control experience (badge readers, mag locks, etc.)
- FASA/BASA certification
