Position Summary:
The Assistant Food Service Director is the second highest level position in the Food Service Department. The successful candidate will report to the Food Service Director rand assists the Director in planning and supervising activities of the department and provide service to residents, employees and visitors. The Assistant Food Service Director Assists in providing technical guidance and administrative direction over food planning, menu formulation and serving of regular and therapeutic diets.
Job Skills:
Knowledge of basic principles of dietetic, food sanitation and services
Familiar with large-scale purchases and preparation of food, food and labor laws, and with accepted food service techniques.
Possess the ability to positively interact with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
Basic computer skills
Provide annual verification of negative TB skin test
Education:
Food service Certification in accordance with regulatory agencies is required. Associate degree in Food Service preferred
