Responsibilities:
- Create or modify 3D models and engineering drawings for use in manufacturing.
- Verify that 3D models and engineering drawings meet customer needs and adhere to engineering standards.
- Material in metals and plastics
- Plastic injection molded parts
- Electronics product packaging
- Machined and fabricated parts
- Use PLM software for storing CAD files, creating engineering notices, and maintaining Bills of Material.
- Create engineering notices for all 3D model and engineering drawing changes and creations.
- Collaborate with engineers and peers to troubleshoot design issues and discrepancies in 3D models and engineering drawings.
- Complete projects in a timely manner to meet customer due dates and the project schedule.
- Communicate any delays or issues encountered during a project to the team lead to keep the project schedule up to date.
Skills Required:
- Prior mechanical drafting experience, preferably for equipment-based mechanical components.
- Experience with 3D parametric drafting/modeling software (e.g., PTC Creo, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor).
- Experience with Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, OneNote, Excel).
