We are seeking a hands-on Controller to oversee the accounting operations of a privately held, multi-entity organization in the retail / hospitality industry. Job Responsibilities

• Manage and perform monthly close of consolidated financials for multiple entities
• Prepare monthly financial statements for both internal management and external stakeholders
• Coordinate with external CPA firm for annual financial reviews and certifications
• Supervise a team of 7
• Oversee vendor invoicing, payment resolution, and vendor pricing negotiations
• Maintain and monitor internal accounting controls
• Ensure compliance with tax reporting and payment requirements (sales tax, payroll tax, property tax, income tax)
• Evaluate and manage company medical benefits plan rollout annually

Qualifications

• BS in Accounting, MBA or CPA a bonus.
• 8 years of Accounting and Finance experience preferred
• Strong understanding of accounting theory and practices.
• Demonstrated knowledge of US GAAP, including willingness to research and resolve accounting applications.
• Proficient in ERP software experience
• Experience with expense reporting and invoice processing
