Duties
- Prepare ingredients through slicing, dicing, and portioning using proper knife skills and slicing techniques
- Cook menu items following established recipes and safety standards in food production
- Assist with menu planning by preparing ingredients needed for daily specials and regular offerings
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety management protocols
- Support food handling procedures to ensure quality and safety during meal preparation and service
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely food service and efficient kitchen operations
- Follow safety standards in production, including proper storage, sanitation, and handling of food products
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food industry setting, particularly as a cook or dietary aide, is highly preferred
- Knowing Turkish cuisine and is a big plus
- Knowledge of dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is a plus
- Strong food preparation skills with a focus on safety standards in production and food handling
- Familiarity with menu planning, catering, and serving in a culinary environment
- Excellent knife skills and slicing techniques for efficient food prep
- Understanding of food safety management principles and adherence to health regulations
- Ability to work quickly and accurately in a high-pressure setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Kitchen experience demonstrating proficiency in cooking, food service, and meal preparation
