App Developer

This job is non-traditional and equity-based. I need a GenZ master app builder that wants to play God with a keyboard. If you don't use snapchat regularly I'm not interested in your application. I am building a loyalty-based incentive platform and using my brick and mortar business to test it in the wild. If it works, you and I will build it into something we can package and ship to other businesses looking to level up their repeat sales. I can only promise you that if it works, it will change the 'why' people buy.

• Your task is to build a stable and functional back and front end for a mobile app that will integrate into existing POS API, specifically Toast to begin with, and we will expand as we go.
• You cannot rely on AI to build this app. I don't need Base44 champions I can get to 4th base just fine, and my cat is Loveable enough for the both of us. You MUST be able to write code, fix code, understand code and troubleshoot. I have folks that will stress test your builds periodically.
• You must be able to articulate thoughts. If we can't talk about what we're doing it'll make things really hard.
• This app will be customer facing, so being able to make things pretty is a plus. The less people I have to hire, the more money you'll make down the line.
• I don't want to cut corners with this platform, I need someone that can create a solid frame that evolves as we add features.
• We will test and debug. Agile is good. Fixing things because we were sloppy is bad.

• If you have not gone from concept to launch for an app using Swift, Kotlin, or Java you will not be considered for this role.
• Validation: You must have an app you've built that you can walk me through to show me you understand what you're talking about.
• You must sign an NDA or you will not be considered for the role.
• You must have a sense of humor.
• You must have your own hardware
• You must be a good person. Moral ambiguity and a dark sense of humor do not make you a bad person.

This role is equity based and will NOT pay up front. I am asking you for your most valuable asset, which is your time. In exchange I will treat you with respect, take care of you as best I can and ensure that you are compensated for your time. If you live in Coeur d' Alene, ID you will be eligible for free breakfast and lunch and unlimited coffee. If not I can send you pictures of our sandwiches periodically.

If you put in the time and build what we set out to build you will make good money and never have a shortage of high quality work. This type of work is not for the faint of heart, but if we succeed this will be something possibly so addicting and seamless that people will be begging us to sell it to them. Are you in?
