What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pediatric Medical Assistant position at Alan J Yedwab, MD, PA?
Responsibilities:
- Obtain and record patients' vital signs, such as height, weight, blood pressure and temperature
- Administer immunizations and medications as directed by healthcare providers
-Perform hearing and vision screens
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urine tests, fingerstick glucose, rapid strep/flu/RSV/COVID
- Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant with pediatric patients required
- Proficiency in vaccine administration and performing basic medical procedures, such as administering inhalation treatments
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide exceptional patient service
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
- Attention to detail to accurately document patient information and perform tasks
- Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
