We are looking for a solo, field-to-finish Party Chief who holds themselves to the highest standards, is curious by nature, thinks critically, and thrives when working independently.
What You’ll Do
- Run your own solo crew—no babysitting, no micromanaging, just you getting it done.
- Hunt down evidence, analyze what it means, and make solid decisions in the field.
- Perform Boundary, Improvement, ALTA/NSPS, Topographic, and Construction Staking surveys.
- Use Trimble GNSS & robotic total stations, levels, data collectors, and office software (CAD, Carlson, TBC).
- Have a pleasant, professional, demeanor when face-to-face with landowners who might approach with questions.
- Keep a tidy truck and well-maintained equipment along with complete, detailed job files, including lots of photos.
- Download, data, process it in the office, and help close out jobs.
- Some office prep/calc/edits/data entry as needed.
Benefits/Perks:
- Available OT
- Health/Vision/Dental options
- Sick Leave
- Flexible Paid Time Off
- Relocation options
- Smooth work tempo (limited stress)
- Continued Education options
What We’re Looking For/You are:
- 3 years survey field experience preferred — OR solid trade/technical experience and the drive to learn.
- Someone who notices the little things…and the big things…and the things that “feel off.”
- Comfortable working alone, hiking at elevation, and doing manual labor-day after day
- Clean driving record; must pass a background check and drug screen (non-THC).
- Experience with Trimble/Carlson, CAD, field-to-finish workflows a big plus.
- Construction experience also a plus.
- Willing to work occasional OT and travel.
- Most importantly: a curious, detail-oriented, self-policing nature!
