FULL TIME AND PART TIME POSITIONS AVAILABLE.Salary: Nine months (180 days) per contract year and appropriate placement on the Bus Driver Salary Schedule.
Reference: Alamogordo Public Schools Salary and Work Day Calendar.Conditions of Employment: Ability to comply with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 and, upon an offer of employment, complete an Employee's Statement of Health and submit to a functional capacity evaluation at the District's expense to determine ability to perform job-related functions and fitness for duty. - High School diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of a driving record check through the NM Motor Vehicle Division with a solid safety record
- Successful completion of a criminal background check in accordance with Section 22-10-3, NMSA, 1978 at applicant's expense
- Satisfactory completion of a NM school bus driver's physical examination
- Possess a valid New Mexico commercial driver's license (CDL) Class B for school buses, with S and P endorsements or the ability to obtain one.
- Successful pre-employment screening for drug abuse in accordance with 49 CFR Part 382 at the District's testing lab
- School bus driver experience desired
- Possession of current First Aid/CPR certification where required by State/District/Regulations desired
- Ability to interact and communicate with students in a positive manner
- Ability to perform essential job functions and job task requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff and co-workers
