What are the responsibilities and job description for the Homemaker/Home Health Aide position at Alamogordo Home Health Care & Hospice?
We have expanded our coverage area for the counties of Otero & Lincoln and need additional caregivers / homemakers to care for our patients in their homes. Responsibilities
- Be willing to learn home health and all it entails.
- Provide compassionate care with a helping hand for daily activities.
- While providing personal care, report any abnormal findings or concerns to the office nurse available 24/7.
- Communicate with patients in a kind and professional way.
- Have a reliable vehicle and willing to drive to patient's homes, reimbursed for mileage.
Skills
- MUST already have experience or certificate as a: Homemaker / Caregiver / Home Health Aide.
- Familiarity with home health, safety and sanitation standards and procedures, or have the ability to learn upon hire.
- Understanding of confidentiality obligations (HIPAA).
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and able to handle stress.
Pay: $13.00 - $17.00 per hour
