Responsibilities
- Operate torque wrenches and testing equipment to verify the integrity of pipe connections, fittings, and mechanical assemblies on oil rigs and pipeline projects
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment daily to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance
- Follow OSHA safety guidelines meticulously during all testing, operation, and maintenance activities to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel
- Maintain accurate records of torque tests, equipment inspections, and maintenance logs for compliance and quality assurance purposes
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot mechanical issues quickly and efficiently during testing or operational phases
Experience
- Previous and hands-on knowledge of mechanical systems related to oil & gas.
- Proficiency operating equipment such as forklifts and effectively pulling a gooseneck trailer to haul equipment
- Familiarity with rigging techniques and OSHA safety standards
- Valid driver’s license (Class C)
- Experience with oil & gas industry standards and safety certifications is highly desirable
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Wellhead and frac stack rigging is a plus
