We are looking for applicant with a background in Commercial Sales or B2B with Retail Sales & Customer service background. Primary responsibilities to include working direclty with contractors, taking orders, greeting customers, assisting them in finding products, answering questions about merchandise, calling vendors to place orders, processing sales transactions, maintaining store cleanliness, and ensuring a positive shopping experience within a retail environment; other duties often include stocking shelves, organizing displays, and promoting current sales promotions.
Key responsibilities of a sales floor associate:
- Customer service:Actively greet customers, engage them in conversation, and identify their needs to provide relevant product information and recommendations.
- Product knowledge:Possess detailed knowledge of the store's inventory, including features, benefits, and pricing to effectively answer customer inquiries.
- Sales generation:Promote current sales promotions, suggest add-on items, and actively work towards achieving sales goals.
- Merchandising:Maintain organized displays, stock shelves, and rotate merchandise to ensure product availability and visual appeal.
- Transaction processing:Accurately operate the point-of-sale system to process customer purchases, handle returns, and accept payments.
- Store upkeep:Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, including tidying up spills, straightening displays, and addressing any issues that may impact the customer experience.
- Cash handling:Accurately handle cash transactions, follow cash management procedures, and reconcile daily sales reports.
Required skills for a sales floor associate:
