Overview
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager to lead and execute environmental remediation, compliance, and industrial services projects from initiation through closeout. This role is responsible for managing scope, schedule, budget, subcontractors, and client relationships while ensuring full compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities
· Plan, manage, and deliver environmental projects on time and within budget.
· Develop project scopes, schedules, work plans, and cost estimates.
· Serve as primary point of contact for clients, regulators, and internal stakeholders.
· Manage subcontractors and field crews, coordinate site activities, and logistics.
· Ensure compliance with applicable regulations (EPA, OSHA, DOT, state agencies).
· Help develop and oversee the health and safety plans (HASP) and enforce site safety requirements.
· Track project financials, including job cost reporting, change orders, and invoicing.
· Prepare and review technical reports, permits, and project documentation.
· Support business development through client relationships and proposal input.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or related field (degree not required)
· 5 years of experience managing environmental/construction projects (excavation, remediation, cleanup, compliance, demolition , or industrial services).
· Strong working knowledge of environmental regulations and permitting requirements.
· Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
· Experience with budgeting, cost control, and project reporting.
· Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or site plans (preferred).
- Strong understanding of safety standards and procedures.
· Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to travel to project sites.
· You must be able to travel nationally to meet with clients, conduct site visits, and meet as needed.
Preferred Certifications (Not Required)
· OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER (current or ability to obtain)
