Outside working hours if other than M-F 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.: Some weekend and evening hours will be a part of this position's job responsibilities. This will vary from week to week.
Job Summary and Description
Performs moderate complex work providing advising to students from entry to completion. Responsible for implementing the academic advising strategies and achievement of student learning outcomes. May provide services for special populations.
This position will support the implementation and operations of the Alamo Colleges Future Ready Bexar County program.
Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree or a combination of relevant experience, education and training that equates to the required degree.
- Two years’ of related experience, preferably in a college setting.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Four years’ of related experience.
- Experience working with first-generation and low-income students and their families.
- Track record of successful student recruitment at community events and active community engagement.
- Experience actively engaging with and serving K-12 populations, including middle school students, families, educators.
