JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for developing and implementing training, and providing orientation and support to students and instructors.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Develops and implements training, and provides orientation and assistance to students. Answers questions, troubleshoots, and resolves issues. Collaborates with external organizations to provide support services.
- Provides support and training for instructors. Develops instructional tutorials, materials, training courses and presentations for students, faculty, and staff; creates support materials. Coordinates facility scheduling.
- May provide technical support. May recommend additional technology resources. May act as internet webmaster and work with departments and instructors to develop internet content.
- Collects and manages data related to program. Maintains records according to accreditation criteria; suggests additional training and program development for faculty, staff, and students based on data findings and trends.
- Markets program by creating and distributing promotional materials and participating in promotional activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree or combination of experience, education and training that equates to the required degree.
- One year of related experience.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Master's degree or equivalent.
- Two or more years of related experience.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS: Licenses or certifications may be required depending on area of assignment.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Technical ability related to program.
- Skill in utilizing a personal computer and associated software programs.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills. * Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to learn Alamo Colleges District’s services, policies and procedures.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, faculty and the public.
- Ability to meet deadlines; work independently, exhibit tact/understanding; and work well with others.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED: May supervise assigned staff.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Work is performed in an office environment with no exposure to hazardous or unpleasant conditions. Physical demands are usually limited to sitting or standing in one location much of the time. Some stooping, lifting or carrying lightweight objects may be required.
