What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outdoor Education - Summer Day Camp Instructor position at Alameda Young Naturalist Club?
Do you have experience in Outdoor Education? Are you the "Pied Piper" of children? Do you have the energy to lead games, crafts and nature adventures?
If you answered "yes" to these questions then Alameda Young Naturalist Club has part-time and full time instructor positions open for Summer Staff the 5 weeks of July.
Located in the city of Alameda, we provide nature and outdoor play-based programs for kids ages 6-12 in our local community. We are looking for individuals who are experienced and enjoy spending time with kids and spending time in the natural world.
Our activities include Survival Skills, Permaculture strategies, Outdoor Cooking, Woodworking, Homesteading, Bushcraft skills, Foraging, and lots more. We prefer people who have some experience in these skills. But we will train the right person who has experience and talent connecting with kids.
Camper to staff ratios are 8:1.
This job will offer 30-35hrs of work a week in the summer. With the potential of continuing on in the school year.
Specific hours of work are as follows:
June 29 - July 2nd (July 3rd Federal holiday)
July 6 - 10
July 13 - 17
July 20 - 24
July 27 - 31
8:30a - 3:30p week days
Priority given to individuals who can work all 5 weeks.
